Separate OPD counters for locals and others at AIIMS Rishikesh

Saturday, 14 December 2019 | PNS | Dehradun

In view of heavy patient load, the administration of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Rishikesh has decided to have separate registration counters for the patients of Rishikesh town and those coming from other areas.

On Friday, the Mayor of Municipal Corporation Rishikesh, Anita Mamgain met the AIIMS Director Ravi Kant and submitted a memorandum to him.

In the memorandum, she cited problems faced by the AIIMS administration for the patients coming from Rishikesh and other parts of Uttarakhand for treatment due to the increasing load of patients in the institute.  She demanded that separate registration counters for OPD registration for patients coming from the city area and other places in the State.   The AIIMS Director accepted the demand and immediately issued instructions to start separate counters for registration of patients coming from Rishikesh and other parts of the State.
