Grocery goods worth Rs 50,000 were burgled from a shop at Indra Market under Habibganj police station area on Monday.
Police said that the victim Ashok Kumar Jeswani found that lock of the door of his shop was broken and goods were found burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the Habibganj police stating in which he said that he had left his shop after closing in the night and when he returned in the morning to open it, he found the lock broken and on entering the shop, goods were found missing.
After the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC.
As a part of the investigation, the nearby CCTV camera footages would be checked. The shop was not installed with CCTV camera.
Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs 60,000 were burgled from Imalia village under Berasia police station area on Monday.
The victim Bhagwan Singh was asleep at his house and when he woke up the valuables were found burgled. Clothes, grocery, household items and Rs 25,000 cash were burgled. The total loss in the burglary was Rs 60,000, claimed the victim.
