The Shree Jaganath Temple Administration (SJTA) would provide all documents to Supreme Court (SC)-appointed new Amicus Curiae Ranjit Kumar, said SJTA Chief Administrator Pradipta Mohapatra.
The outgoing Amicus Curiae Gopal Subramanim had not yet handed over the documents to Kumar, he informed.
Talking to reporters, Mohapatra said that they have already received a letter on appointment of the new Amicus Curiae but have no information about his visit to Puri. The SJTA would provide all documents soon to Kumar relating to the SC’s reform initiatives in the Jagannath Temple as the next hearing is scheduled for February 5, said Mohapatra.
Reacting over the Brahma fiasco (exchange of souls) in 2015 Nabakalebar Yatra, Mohapatra said that one out of 10 servitors, who served show-cause notices, has already confessed wrongdoing and the rest nine servitors have not yet responded. They would be re-noticed with an ultimatum, said Mohapatra. He said that actions would be initiated against them as per law. Notably, the SJTA has not made public the name of Daitapati, who is the key eyewitness in the Brahma Bibhrata case.
