The fourth quarterly meeting of State Level Railway Safety Committee will be held on July 12 in the chairmanship of Director General of Police Vijay Kumar Singh at the State Police Headquarters. ADG Railways Aruna Mohan Rao and other senior officials would be present at the meeting.
Headed by DGP VK Singh Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for the purpose of regular monitoring and review of the security system in the Railways, State Level Railway Safety Committee has been constituted.
In the state-level railway safety committee, Additional Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence, Joint Director IB and the Chief Security Commissioner of all the railway zones under the state are members. The meeting of the committee is organized every three months.
Installation of CCTV cameras to keep security check at Railway stations, Luggage scanner, DFMT, safety of women and children, review of critical incidents related to rail, better exchange of informations among all agencies related to rail safety like G.R.P, R.P.F rail management and local police, better coordination and all aspects of rail safety would be reviewed and work plan would be developed.
Meanwhile, on Thursday Consul General of Japan Michio Harada met DGP VK Singh at State Police Headquarters . The Japanese Consul General General appreciated the methodology of Madhya Pradesh during visit. On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police ATS, Sanjeev Shami and Inspector General of Police Gupta, Makrand Deuskar were present.
