State Meteorological Centre forecasts snowfall

The State Meteorological Centre has forecast the probability of snowfall in some mountainous regions located at and above 4,000 metres altitude. Overall, the State is likely to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy skies on Friday. Very light to light rain and snowfall is likely to occur at isolated places in higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts while dry weather is likely to prevail in rest of Uttarakhand.

In the provisional Capital Dehradun, the sky will be mainly clear on Friday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 29 degree Celsius and 16 degree Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile on Thursday, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places in the state were 29.5 degree Celsius and 15.5 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30.4 degree Celsius and 18.8 degree Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.2 degree Celsius and 8.8 degree Celsius in Mukteshwar, 21 degree Celsius and 10 degree Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
