State Meteorological Centre issues warning of heavy rainfall in Kumaon region

The state Meteorological Centre on Tuesday issued warning of heavy rainfall which is likely to occur at isolated places especially in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Overall, the weather will remain generally cloudy with possibility of light to moderate rainfall and thundershowers likely to occur at most places in the state.

In the provisional capital of Uttarakhand, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of thundershowers likely to occur on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 34 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius on Wednesday in Dehradun.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places in the state were 34.9 degree Celsius and 25.1 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.5 degree Celsius and 26.7 degree Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.6 degree Celsius and 15.1 degree Celsius in Mukteshwar, 26.2 degree Celsius and 18 degree Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
