State to get 8 new industrial units

The State Government has taken the decision to provide facilities under the Industrial Promotion Policy for the establishment of eight new industrial units and expansion of two industrial units in Raisen, Dhar and Damoh districts of the state. There will be a capital investment of Rs 6013.90 crore in the state through these industrial units. Out of these units, two industrial units will be set up in Raisen district, three in Dhar district and one in Damoh district. Also, two industrial units will be expanded in Raisen district.

Under the Industrial Promotion Policy, a Pharmaceuticals and Health Care Protect Project is being set up with a capital investment of Rs 175 crore and Personal Care Product Project with a capital investment of Rs 300 crore in Simrai village of Gauharganj tehsil at Raisen district. A Radial Tyre Manufacturing unit at Pithampur Smart Industrial Park in Dhar district with a capital investment of Rs. 1788 crore 50 lakh, Cement Manufacturing project with a capital investment of Rs. 425 crore 40 lakhs and a Bayer Rod Manufacturing Project with a fixed capital investment of Rs 225 crore will be established at Karondia village. An integrated cement plant of 2.20 million tonner per year capacity with a fixed capital investment of Rs 1400 crore is being established in Damoh district. Apart from this, the existing unit of M/s Procter & Gamble Home Products Pvt. Ltd. is being expanded with a capital investment of Rs 500 crore in Raisen district. Along with this, a project is being expanded in Mandideep by M / s HEG Ltd. with a capital investment of Rs 1200 crores.

In the Industrial Promotion Policy-2014 (as amended 2018), industrial units will be provided incentive assistance of 20 to 40 percent on fixed capital investment on buildings, plants and machinery in the first phase. The incentive assistance amount shall not exceed a maximum of Rs 200 crores. The benefit of employment and export counter will be obtained separately.

The industrial unit will be provided electricity at the rate of Rs 5 per unit for 5 to 7 years from the date of starting commercial production. The balance amount (if any) of the electricity bill can be obtained by the concerned power distribution company from MPIDC Exemption will also be given for 7 to 10 years in electricity charges.

On obtaining employment in the industrial unit, native residents of Madhya Pradesh will be provided with training facility in the allied courses of National Skills Qualification Framework by the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment.

All industrial units will get the benefit of other facilities provided under the Industry Promotion Policy-2014 (as amended 2019) subject to conditions. The stamp duty and registration fee payable on lease land to the industrial units will be reimbursed by the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion.
