Taking inspiration from anecdotes of his personal life, a product design student of Pearl Academy, Utsav Khadka has designed a portable bag for carrying heavy water containers on mountainous terrain. Displaying creative maturity, Utsav designed the bag - “Up-Drop” for carrying heavy loads of water up-hill and down-hill.
The product ensures ease in carrying heavy loads by minimising the gravitational force effect by the mechanism of suspensions that raises the bag upwards in sync with the movement of the torso. “Typical water carrying methods impose physical loading with potential to produce musculoskeletal disorders and related disability. My personal experience growing up in hills made me committed to finding a viable solution to this problem. With the guidance of my faculty and support from Pearl Academy I decided to design a portable bag that can solve problems which people face while performing daily chores,” said Utsav.
