Students of St. Joseph School spread cleanliness awareness

On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, students of the Cleanliness Club of St. Joseph Co-ed School gave a cleanliness message to the bus and van drivers. An awareness drive was carried out by srudents in scho here on Friday.

Students tried to realize the dream of clean India which was seen by Mahatma Gandhi and keeping that in mind, the students gave the same message to all. As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Prime Minister of India, the students pasted stickers on the back of the bus and van to convey their message to the people, which reads "spitting means violating cleanliness".

Students then, stage drama and through drama, poetry and their speech students aware drivers to keep the earth clean and do not pollute by littering garbage.

The students also gave a message tp their schoolmates that do not allow all the present bus-van drivers to spread the garbage anywhere and spread their pledge to contribute to the labor donation.

It is to be noted that this is a small initiative of the Cleanliness Club of St. Joseph Co-ed School. School Principal Father Melvin CJ said that if this work in creating public awareness then it is a true tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, father of India. The school principal congratulated and appreciated all the members of the club, students and teachers for their work. The event was attended by School Principal Father Melvin CJ, Manager Father Michael Sebastian, Sisters, School Staff and PRO Vasundhara.
