Governor Baby Rani Maurya said that students should participate in social works. They should teach the children of slum dwellers and weaker sections once in a week as part of community service. The Governor expressed these views during the meeting girl students of Ecole Globale school visiting the Raj Bhawan.
The students asked questions regarding successful personal and public life of the governor. Responding to the question of taking up politics as a career before the appointment to the post of governor, Maurya said that she considered politics a medium of social service and not a career. She said that citizens should adopt the idea of service of nation and society. She said that students should also give importance to ethics and moral values along with good education. They should read good books and take inspiration from good people.
