The Manav Adhikar Surakhya Manch held its 107th Ghanta Yatra (cymbal beating rally) here on Monday demanding appointment of doctors and staffs and developing infrastructure at Aska as per sub-divisional hospital status.
The Manch submitted a memorandum at the Aska Sub-Divisional Hospital addressed to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to take necessary steps to fulfil the demands.
Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya said even if the Aska Community Health Centre was given status of sub-divisional hospital but yet the doctors and staffs have not been appointed as per the status.
The Manch also demanded again functional of the blood bank, installing digital X-ray, ultrasound and other necessary machines, providing Mahaprayan vehicle, opening the Niramaya centre 24 hours and making all medicines available, opening of Geriatrics Department and setting up a city hospital in Aska.
Among others, Sankar Sahu, Keshab Swain, Gouri Sankar Mohanty, Maguni Nahak, Rama Chandra Behura and Kabiraj Sethi were present.
It might be mentioned here that the State Government had granted sub-divisional hospital status to the Aska community health centre (CHC) in 2017.
