Monday, 18 February 2019 | MAlAY RAY | SUNDARGARH

A rape victim here has demanded that the accused, who is a CRPF personnel and has been out of jail on bail in the case, be terminated from job.

Sources said, one Krushna Chandra Kishan, works as a  CRPF jawan at Noonmati, Guwahati in 128 battalion.  Krushna Chandra is a resident of Grelidungri under Dharuadih police station of Sundargarh district.

Krushna Chandra had come in contact with a girl, a resident of Talsara police limit, who was staying in Sundargarh Sports Hostel during the year 2009.

She was a minor during that period. When Krushna Chandra tried to lure her and the girl refused to his advances, he assured her to marry and their love relationship started. Krushna Chandra allegedly used to keep physical relationship with the girl and made her pregnant.

When the girl repeatedly told him to marry her, he cut off the relationship with the girl during January, 2018. The girl later delivered a baby girl and her daughter is now seven months’ old.

When she could come to know that she was ditched by Krushna Chandra, she lodged FIR against Krushna Chandra. On February 1, Krushna Chandra surrendered before ADJ Court in Sundargarh and had brought anticipatory bail from Orissa High Court.

But since a rape case had been registered against Krishna Chandra under POCSO Act, he was sent to Sundargarh jail. After spending about seven days in jail, Krushna Chandra was granted bail in ADJ Court in Sundargarh and was released from jail immediately. After granting of bail to accused Krushna Chandra, the judgment of ADJ Court surprised and shocked the victim girl, as she had earlier been running to get justice.

The victim girl now claiming that she was not provided justice demanded that Krushna Chandra be suspended from his job.

"I have not yet got justice," said the victim girl, adding, "Even if he was sent to jail, after few days he was released on bail, which has shocked and saddened me. I am yet to understand how he was granted bail.”
