Super Specialty Hospital of 220-bed inaugurated

Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that employment of youth and their better future along with welfare of farmers is the top priority of the State Government. High-level facilities will be developed in the State in the medical field so that people of the state do not have to go to hospitals outside the state for treatment, he added.

Nath was inaugurating the 220-bed Super Specialty Hospital costing Rs 150 crore at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College campus in Jabalpur on Saturday. In-charge of Jabalpur district and Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh were also present.

The Chief Minister performed bhoomi-pujan of works costing Rs 42.16 crore on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that 70 percent population of the state is dependent on agriculture. The government has taken important steps in the last nine months to upgrade the agriculture sector and provide better benefits to the farmers. We are realizing new possibilities of development in the agriculture sector. Nath said that more and more employment oriented investments are being encouraged in the state. This will provide employment to our youth and they will make their contribution towards the development of the state with full energy.

The Chief Minister said that the government is making special efforts to make our state to lead in the entire country in the medical field. With the setting up of Super Specialty Hospital in Jabalpur, high-level medical facilities will be available to the people in the entire Mahakaushal zone.

At the same time, young doctors will get better opportunities to work. He said that planned development of Jabalpur which is better known as a culture centre will be done. Referring to the Cabinet meeting held in Jabalpur, he said that the decisions taken in this meeting are being implemented.

Medical Education Minister Vijaylaxmi Sadho said that the medical sector of the state has got a new dimension under the leadership of Chief Minister Kamal Nath in the last nine months.

He said that to increase the availability of doctors, 800 medical seats have been increased to 2000. In the coming time we will increase the number of seats to 3000.
