Popular Odia television actress LakshmipriyaBehera alias Nikita passed away while undergoing treatment in a private hospital here on Saturday.
She had been admitted to the Aswini Hospital in the CDA area following an injury on her head. The exact reason behind Nikita’s head injury was yet unknown.
According to reports, the actress had visited her father’s house at Mahanadi Vihar in the city where she fell off the roof of the house on Friday.
Nikita had made debut in Ollywood with ‘Akhi kholibaku dara laguchi’.
She was also featured in movies included ‘Chori chori mana chori’, ‘Maa ra Panatakani’, ‘Smile please’ and ‘Mita basichi bhoota sathire’.
Nikita was much popular for playing dominating characters in the TV soaps including ‘Tapasya’ and ‘ACP Nikita’.
The television industry was shocked over her death.
