The Booknerds holds ‘Yes Prime Minister hangout’

With the general elections coming to a close, The Booknerds latest hangout "Yes Prime Minister" was met with a fiery response. Some of the books discussed at the event were The Accidental Prime Minister,  Nehru-The Invention of India, #Modi Again, Intertwined Lives, The Assassination of Rajiv Gandhi and Half-Lion.

The event began with an introductory speech by Rohan Raj, co-founder of The Booknerds - a literary start-up, with the vision of connecting readers across the globe.

The moderator for the hangout was Geetika Sharma, a social entrepreneur who hails from a family with a political legacy.The lead discussant was Samaresh Singh, an ex-army officer, educationist, and an entrepreneur.The event was attended by intellectuals, bibliophiles, journalists, writers and social activists from the Doon valley.

The event buzzed with strong opinions and varied ideas as an exchange of views began regarding the attendees' favourite Prime Minister of India till date, followed by another lively discussion on, "What would you do if you were made Prime Minister for a day?"

The attendees came up with innovative and inspiring ideas such as putting a focus on education, diversity and population control.

They also highlighted important topics like pollution, carbon footprint and water crisis.

Neha Raj, co-founder, The Booknerds presented mementos to the moderator and lead discussant for their value addition to the session.
