Three children shot in Bulandshahr

Sunday, 26 May 2019 | PNS | Lucknow

Police negligence led to the sensational killing of three children in Bulandshahr.

All three of them were missing since Friday evening and their bullet-riddled bodies were found on Saturday morning.

Taking a serious note of the negligence of cops, two policemen have been suspended.

A case has been registered and three teams have been formed to work out the case and arrest the culprits at the earliest.

According to reports, three children — Asma, Aleem and Abdullah, all in the age group of 9 to 11 years — of Faislabad locality of Bulandshahr disappeared in mysterious circumstances on Friday evening.

The family members searched for the missing children till late evening and then informed the police about their disappearance but the cops did not act. The cops, instead of helping the families, asked them to search the children on their own, saying that the children would return by Saturday morning.

However, the incident took an ugly turn when the bodies of all the three children were found lying near a tubewell in Dhaturi village under Kotwali police station on Saturday morning.

All the three victims had bullet injury marks and it appeared that each child was shot at least two times to ensure that they were dead.

The news of the killing spread like a wildfire and within no time, over 100 villagers kept the bodies on road and staged a protest, demanding action against the policemen for their negligence.

Senior Superintendent of Police N Kolanchi later reached the spot and to pacify the protesters, he suspended two policemen including the station house officer of Kotwali for dereliction of duty.

The suspended policemen are Kotwali incharge Dhrub Bhushan Dubey and munshi Ashok Sharma.

Later the SSP got a case registered and assured the villagers that the assailants would by arrested very soon.

In another sensational incident reported from Muzaffarnagar, a minor girl was reportedly raped and murdered and an attempt was made to burn her body to conceal the crime.

The district president of Bhim Army in Muzaffarnagar alleged a conspiracy behind the incident and demanded a high level probe so that truth could come out and the culprits could be put behind the bars.

Reports said that almost 100 percent burn body of a 15-year-old girl was found lying inside her house late Friday evening. Her brother, who was sleeping outside the house, failed to notice the fire and it was the neighbours who saw smoke coming out of the house and raised an alarm. They rushed inside the house only to find the girl lying dead and her body almost burnt.

The family members said they had no enmity with anyone and suspect that someone might have raped the girl and later to conceal the crime, killed her and tried to burn the body.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Harish Bhadauriya, who rushed to the spot and inspected the scene of crime, claimed that prime facie it appeared to be a well orchestrated murder but they would wait for the post-mortem report.

He said that forensic experts had been called to collect evidence from the spot.

A case was registered and further investigations are on.
