Tight security put in place in Bhopal for counting of LS polls

Old Central Jail of the State capital would witness massive gathering from early morning hours of Congress and BJP candidates, polling agents and supporters of both parties and heavy security force for counting of votes of  Lok Sabha election 2019.

All eyes would be glued to the LED installed to display counting of votes inside by the employees from the morning and which is likely to continue till late in the evening as informed by senior administration and police officials.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the counting of votes for Lok Sabha 2019 and along with 5000 district police personnel 1500 security personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order said IG Bhopal Jaideep Prasad. 

The sensitive areas are monitored closely by the security personnel which would be deployed at these areas in the Bhopal constituency area during the counting process is conducted.

The SAF, CRPF, SST are deployed to maintain security. Three layered security, deployment of police personnel at sensitive and shift wise assignment of security personnel is made for making the arrangements better and not burdening the security personnel with additional working hours. 

The three shifts would start from 8 am and first would be from 8 am to 4 pm,  second shift would be from 4 pm to 12 pm and third and last shift would be from 12 in the night to 8 am.

After proper checking only voting agents, polling agents and candidates would be allowed. The movement of EVM and counting of votes would be done under the strict vigil of police and monitored by CCTV cameras.

The counting would be showcased through 29 CCTV cameras which are installed to monitor the counting inside.
