Top cop launches Mobile Control Room

Delhi Commissioner of Police, Amulya Patnaik launched ‘Mobile Control Room’ (MCR) equipped with all modern technology on Tuesday. He visited the Delhi Police Communication Headquarters at Shalimar Bagh and inspected the van in the presence of other senior police officers.

“The latest state-of-the-art MCR has been fabricated on CNG chassis and equipped with all necessary wireless nets to provide communication in various districts, security, traffic etc. as per the requirement in different parts of Delhi,” said Anil Mittal, Additional Public Relation Officer (APRO) of Delhi Police.  Talking about the equipment in the newly launched MCR Mittal said that MCR is fitted with latest equipments such as Integrated Communication System (ICS), Voice logger, Wireless Radio Operator Consoles, CCTV surveillance, UPS, DG Set Conference Room and the interior of MCR is designed to ensure eco friendly environment.

“It can be located at a strategic location on short notice to provide flawless communication, where the normal communication is not possible. MCR will play vital role during the important arrangements like Republic Day, Independence Day, VIP arrangements at Rajghat, Ramlila Ground, Election arrangement and other emergency requirements,” Mittal added.
