Traders from across India to attend Modi meet on April 19

Thousand of  traders from Delhi and other States of the country will participate in a convention  to be addressed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on  April 19. Meeting has been convened by the Delhi BJP and the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) at Talkatora stadium.

Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of CAIT said the Bharatiya Jantata Party (BJP) has included core and fundamental issues of the business community which include formation of a National Traders Welfare Board, a national policy for retail trade, pension to traders above the age of 60 years, accidental insurance of `10 lakh to traders who are registered under Goods and Services Tax, Vyapari Credit Card on pattern of Kisan Credit Card to traders etc.

Khandelwal further said that it is gratifying that BJP has included the most important issues of trading community in its election manifesto which has encouraged the traders across the Country and traders really wish to compliment and congratulate the Prime Minister for such a positive step.

He said on the one side the traders will thanks the Prime Minister on the other side the Prime Minister will talk about greater participation of traders in national economy and development of the Country.

“The BJP manifesto has included various issues of all sections of traders which also include Loans up to `50 lakhs without any collateral guarantee to MSME, technology centre across the Country to develop skills of startups and other traders, minimum purchase of 10 per cent

by Government departments from women entrepreneur, he said, adding that these steps will not only strengthen the domestic trade but will also enable small traders to make large exports to other Countries.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday said the party manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls has “raised hopes” of the people including traders in the country who want to bring Modi back as the Prime Minister.

Union minister Vijay Goel earlier said prominent business leaders and office-bearers of all market associations in Delhi have been invited to “Rashtriye Vyapari Dhanyawad Mahasammelan”.

“Crores of traders want to express their gratitude to the Prime Minister for the BJP’s Sankalp Patra promising measures like accident insurance of `10 lakh, pension after 60 years, traders credit card, simplification of GST and also exemption from income tax up to `5 lakhs,” Goel said on Tuesday.

It may be noted that the trader’s body had said it has been conducting a national campaign for the past three months to convert seven crore traders into a vote bank to play a “decisive” role in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The CAIT had said that about 40 thousand trade associations and federations all India will play an active role in the elections and will be ambassadors for carrying poll message of the traders’ body to every nook and corner of the Country.
