Training on ‘Natural Resource & Environment Science’ to be held

The women scientists will be informed about different technologies.

A training programme on Natural Resource and Environment Science sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India will be held at Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal from August 29 to 30.

The programme will be attended by 20 senior women scientists from different government institutes of India. The programme directors for this training programme are Prof Amitabh Pande Chairperson Centre of Application of Management tools in Government (CAMTG) and Prof Parul Rishi Chairperson Centre of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The Inaugural session will be held at 09.45 am on August 29 in Medhavi at MDP centre. Prof R J Rao Vice-Chancellor Barkathullah University will be the chief guest and will deliver the keynote address. Dr Pankaj Srivastava, IFS Director IIFM will preside over the Inaugural function.

The programme will continue for five days till August 30 and will have sessions on Science, Technology and  society, wicked problems Framework on Natural Resource Management, , sustainable development goals framework assessment, Forest Hydrology, IPR and international law, Sustainability and change management, Ecosystem services and natural resource valuation, EIA, forested watershed in natural purification of water soruces, climate change mitigation and adaptation etc.

The programme will also include field visit to Sanchi and Udai Giri international heritage site near Bhopal.
