South East Central Railway (SECR) Zone has undertaken massive modernisation and repair works in different Railway Divisions under its jurisdiction which affected train commuters on a busy Howrah-Mumbai rail route on Saturday.
For safety measures, around 38 express and passenger trains have been cancelled on different dates from February 8 to March 31, which will disrupt the normal movement of passenger trains through the Railway Zone.
According to officials sources, 12870 Howrah-Mumbai Express has been cancelled on February 15 and 22 while 12869 Mumbai-Howrah Express will not run on February 17 and 24, 2019.
The Tatanagar-Kurla Antyodaya Express (22886) will remain cancelled on February 10, 14, 17,21, 24 and 28 while 2885 Kurla-Tatanagar Antyodaya Express has been cancelled on February 12,16,19,23, 26 and March 2. 18211/18212 Durg-Jagdalpur-Durg Express has been cancelled from February 10 to 27 and March 1 to 29, 2019.
12767 Nanded- Santragachi Express has been cancelled on February 11, 18 and 25 while 12768 Santragachi-Nanded is on February 13, 20 and 27. 58528/58527 Vishakapatnam-Raipur-Vishakapatnam will remain cancelled for total 50 days from February 10 to March 31. Similarly, 58530/58529 Vishakapatnam-Durg-Vishakapatnam stands cancelled for same period.
58117/58118-Jharsuguda-Gondia-Jharsuguda passenger will remain cancelled from February 9 to March 1, 2019. Similarly, other express, mail and passenger trains have been cancelled on different dates.
SECR Railway has urged the passengers to check the dates of cancelled trains before proceeding to travel so to avoid any inconvenience.
