Two killed by dumper in Bhagwanpur

A dumper carrying mined material fatally hit two riders going on a motorbike en route to Bhagwanpur from Buggawala on Wednesday night. The irked villagers tried to block the traffic but the police circle officer (city) controlled the situation by pacifying the villagers. The villagers agreed to let the traffic be on the assurance that trucks shall not ply on that route. On Wednesday night, a dumper hit a motorbike coming from opposite direction in Bhagwanpur area.

The two riders came under the truck and died on the spot. They have been identified as Bhulchand and Murad hailing from Dada Patti village. As soon as the news spread the villagers came out to protest. Seeing the irked villagers, the driver of the dumper ran away.

Speaking to The Pioneer, CO Manglaur DS Rawat said, “On receiving the information our personnel came to the spot and controlled the situation.After the post mortem the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their family members.
