The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed deep sorrow on the death of former Chief Minister of Delhi and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit. In a message, the CM said that he prays the God to bring peace to the departed soul and give courage to grieving family.
In his condolence message, the speaker of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha, Premchand Agarwal said that Dikshit was a three time Chief Minister of Delhi and was one of the senior most leaders of Congress party. He said that Dikshit would be remembered for unprecedented development in Delhi during her tenure as Chief Minister.
The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President, Pritam Singh termed the death of Dikshit as an irreparable loss for the nation. Expressing his condolences, he said that her death is a very big loss to the Congress party and the void created by her death would be very difficult to fill. He said that during the tenures of Dikshit as Chief Minister, Delhi witnessed unprecedented developmental activities and people would always remember her for it.
The leader of Opposition (LoP) in State Assembly Indira Hridayesh said that death of Dikshit is a personal loss for her. She said that Dikshit played a key role in giving an international recognition to Delhi. Hridayesh said Dikshit had a special place in her heart for Nainital and she used to visit it many times.
