Leading tech enabled chain of laundry and home cleaning stores, UClean, has expanded to Jamshedpur and aims to open 10 franchisee led stores by 2020.
UClean also conducted a roadshow in order to educate and discuss the market opportunity of franchisee led stores by UClean in Jamshedpur.
The expansion is in partnership with USA’s ChemDry brand to officially venture into the home services segment in the Jamshedpur market.
As a part of the strategic partnership, UClean will identify and operate franchisees under its master franchisee rights across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India offering a range of home services such as carpet, upholstery cleaning and more across Indian households.
Jamshedpur is the first city that UClean is expanding to under this partnership. In a growing market like India, tech enabled cleaning solutions hold immense potential given the low penetration of technology in an unorganised segment overall. As market leaders, UClean’s vision is to organise the over $100 billion market opportunity.
Leading this initiative is UClean’s founder and CEO, Arunabh Sinha, a native of Jamshedpur. Arunabh is a veteran of the startup ecosystem and has over 11 years of work experience across various startups in various capacities. He is an alumnus of IIT Bombay.
Talking about the expansion, Arunabh Sinha said, “We are excited to expand into the Jamshedpur market as a part of our overall brand expansion strategy. As the Steel City and one of the commercial hubs in Jharkhand, Jamshedpur is a strategic market for us. With this expansion we aim to open 10 stores by 2020 that will also generate employment and business opportunities for the business community here.”
