UCO bank celebrates 76th foundation day

The UCO Bank completed 76 years of its glorious presence on January 6 and this occasion was celebrated with great fanfare and festive fervor at Zonal Office Bhopal campus at Jail Road, Arera Hills.

The programme started in the morning with an oath taking by all the staff members reiterating their commitment towards the Bank’s esteemed customers.

Colorful balloons were flown in the open sky signifying the presence of the Bank’s 3086 branches throughout the country and abroad.

As part of its corporate social responsibility activity, the Zonal Head, SS Rattan and the Principal of the Regional Training Centre, Bhopal, CK Sarkar, planted saplings in the vicinity of the Zonal Office and Training Centre campus. Officials and employees of the Bank also visited ‘MaitriChhaya’, an orphanage, to distribute lunch packets and milk to its inmates.

Branches under Bhopal zone too celebrated the Foundation Day of the Bank with great pomp and splendor. Customers’ Meets were organized at different branches where the valuable and loyal customers were invited and felicitated for their long association with the Bank.

Arera Colony and Piplani branches in Bhopal city arranged Health Check-up camps by tying up with reputed medical practitioners and hospitals.

The event was also marked by a ceremonial address by the Zonal Head, SS Rattan on the corporate goals and expectations of the Bank.

He also outlined the road map ahead and the different strategies the Bank needs to work upon for fulfilling its vision of social commitments with business growth and profitability.

A gala sports event was also organized in which the staff members participated enthusiastically followed by a cake cutting ceremony.

The function was well attended by all the present and ex staff members of the Bank besides the venerable customers.
