Union Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Department, V Shashank Shekhar, reviewed schemes implemented by the Niti Ayog here on Thursday.  During the review, he took information of the schemes run by the Education and Health Department and during this time, he was satisfied with the work done by the department.

The monitoring of the Education and Health Department is being done directly at the highest level, Shekhar said.

In the same way, he also reviewed the tasks performed by all the departments alternatively. Addressing the office-bearers in the meeting, he said that wherever there is any problem in implementing development schemes anywhere in the district, communicate directly to his senior officer and remove the problem. He said that Garhwa is counted in the backward districts of the country and it is necessary to change it.

The district is to be included in the developed category of districts.

He said that the Prime Minister is committed to the development of villages and backward districts. He informed that the five officials who have been doing good work in the district are planning to be honoured by the Prime Minister.

The secretary instructed the officials of all the departments to work together to coordinate among themselves.  Simultaneously, all the officers should ensure that the welfare schemes reach the last person standing in the last line in their area.  He revisited all the 49 indicators set by the Niti Ayog.

In the review meeting, Deputy Commissioner Harsh Mangla, Deputy Development Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra, Sub Divisional Officer Ranka Sanjay Pandey, besides the office bearers of various departments of the district were present.
