Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath left for a four-day visit to Russia on Saturday evening. This will be his first international tour to seek investments for the state.
Yogi Adityanath, along with the chief ministers of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Assam and a high-level delegation led by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, will attend a conference between India and Russia in Vladivostok city from August 12 to 13.
During the visit, the agenda for discussions will be on India-Russia co-operation in various sectors.
Official sources here said on Saturday that Uttar Pradesh would sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Russian companies on food processing, irrigation and agriculture and also go for agreement on contract farming. Discussions will also be held on investment opportunities in the upcoming defence industrial corridor to be developed in UP.
