UP Guv on personal visit to Nainital

The Governor of Nainital, Anandiben Patel, arrived here on a personal visit on Tuesday. After being accorded a guard of honour at the Raj Bhawan, the Governor left for the Naina Devi temple where she offered prayers to the goddess.

Though she maintained a distance from the media persons, according to sources, the Uttar Pradesh Governor is slated to stay in Nainital till Thursday.

Patel reached the Pantnagar airport on Tuesday and from there travelled by road to reach the Raj Bhawan in Nainital at about 2 pm.

She was received by the additional district magistrate SS Jangpangi, sub divisional magistrate Vinod Kumar, Tehsildar Bhagwan Singh Chauhan and the Raj Bhawan personnel.

The police then presented a guard of honour for the Uttar Pradesh Governor.

Later in the evening, Patel visited the Naina Devi temple. She spent about half an hour in this famous temple located on the shore of the Naini lake.

Some tourists from Gujarat, recognising their former Chief Minister also clicked selfies with her.

She also admired the beauty of the Naini lake and got photographed along with family members.

Till late in the evening she was in the Boathouse.

On learning about her presence, members of the electronic and print media also arrived.

However, they were told by the Governor’s staff members that she was on a personal visit to Nainital.
