The Uttar Pradesh government has issued orders for payment of salaries to state employees and employees of local bodies before the festival of Diwali, on October 25.
The order also covers employees of government-aided educational institutions, technical educational institutions, work charge employees and pensioners.
The order was issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Sanjeev Mittal on Saturday. It said in view bank holidays on October 26 and 27, the government has decided to disburse salary and pension on October 25.
