The Electricity department has claimed that the ‘UPAY’ App introduced by it for complaints of the consumers is proving beneficial in resolving complaints related to electricity faults and bills.
With this app, consumers can register their complaints directly at the call centre. In addition to the payment of electricity bill to the consumers through this app, the company's IT department has provided the facility of lodging complaints regarding power interruption and billing. Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh has said that the UPAY app can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store. Power consumers of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions will be able to use this app.
All details of the consumer’s connection will be automatically opened on submitting the IVRS or consumer ID number registered in the consumer bill in the app. If the electricity consumer's complaint is of another person or address, then the other person will have to enter his mobile number in the app to file a complaint. All your details will have to be registered. For the address of the complaint, the consumer will have to fill the information of his city / area / colony and house number. After this, he will have to choose a category of complaint according to his problem or demand. By doing so, the problem or demand will be recorded and the complaint will be confirmed by SMS. After the complaint has been registered, he will receive a call from the company's call centre within a short time. The complaint will be verified and it will be forwarded to the respective power zone. Through this app, the consumers will be able to know the status of their complaints. Through the UPAY app, the consumer will be able to pay his electricity bill online along with the registration of complaints.
