Urban criminals are a new worry to Palamu police whose hands are now a bit free of the load of extremists but these criminals keep police on live wire.
The arrest of four urban criminals from town’s municipal corporation area on Thursday with country made pistol, cartridges, car, bike and a traditional arm is a grim reminder of urban youths taking to crimes.
The four Sheetal Singh, Rakesh Singh, Rahul Singh and Sonu Tiwary wore no sign of any regret on their faces.
Linda said these urban criminals are from well off families and had ‘common intention’ to commit crime. Describing their crime of a shootout as a major law and order issue, in which a bid on the life of Bittu Singh was made at Abadganj colony on Wednesday night, in which Bittu had a miraculous escape without even a scratch of the bullet so fired at him Linda said, “The temerity and propensity of these four criminals are enormous as they tried in agreement to change their location from Daltonganj to Paton police station.”
Linda said the four criminas were caught in two hours of the commission of a failed shootout in which no life was lost.
Linda was all praise for his DSP headquarters Bhola Prasad Singh , inspector Deepak Kumar, officer in charge Town PS Anand K MIshra , three under training SIs of police and three cops for cracking this case as any delay on the part of the police here could have meant these urban criminals getting disappeared in thin air.
Singh said these urban criminals exercised their minds much faster than their fingers. They ran towards a poultry farm located at Hisra Barwadeeh under Paton police station and had their men too to keep them informed of police if any coming behind them.
Bhola said the four saw light of a vehicle and got conscious of police coming towards them but there came plying an auto rickshaw which police asked to move on unmindful of any activity on the road that outwitted the four having a rethinking that he light they saw was of the auto rickshaw.
The DSP said this confusion of light on the part of the 4 helped police much and they were caught under Paton police station.
Two crimes and two police stations with as a varied nature as of a shootout in Daltonganj and then recovery of illicit arms, ammunition, bhujali , car, bike all used in crime in Paton police station two FIRs were slapped on these four, added DSP.
