Use innovative ideas to solve problems : CM

Advocating use of innovative ideas to solve problems in government working, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that his government was using modern technology to extend benefits to youths in a very transparent manner.

“This is the age of modern technology. Therefore, the government has plans to introduce e-lecture system in academic sessions. To achieve this target, virtual classrooms have been developed in 15 polytechnics of the state while to ensure uninterrupted power supply, rooftop solar systems have been installed in eight far-flung polytechnics,” Yogi said at a function in which he honoured top rankers by distributing laptops and awards, here on Sunday.

Teachers were also honoured at the function.

The Chief Minister said to impart modern education, computer labs had been set up in 25 institutes. He said all the purchases had been made in a transparent manner for which the Technical Education department had been honoured with State GeM Award, 2018.

“Today, the polytechnics are producing brilliant students who are working in different sectors brining laurels to the state. The credit for this achievement also goes to the teachers because they made these raw students competent enough to get job in top ranking MNCs,” he said.

Two students, Govind Singh Parishar and Sanjiv Dixit, were selected as brand ambassadors and were honoured by the Chief Minister.

Yogi gave Rs 15,000 to the merit holders of 2016-17 and 2017-18. The first three toppers in 15 trades were given financial reward of Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 5,000 each. Top three girl toppers were given Rs 10,000 each.

Besides, the Chief Minister also dedicated to people or laid foundation stones of 75 projects of which 27 are of building construction.

He also inaugurated State Training and Placement Cell of Joint State Entrance Examination Council.

Later in the day, Yogi reviewed the progress of construction of Pipraich sugar mill in Gorakhpur district. The Chief Minister said once the mill started functioning, it would provide direct employment to 500 people and indirect employment to 5,000 people of that area.

“Over 40,000 cane farmers will stand benefited once this sugar mill starts operation,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate this sugar mill during his visit on February 24. The Chief Minister said that after that trail run of the mill would start.

The Chief Minister also went to Maharajganj and met the family of Pankaj Kumar Tripathi who was martyred in a blast in Pulwama recently. He said that at this hour of crisis, the government was with the bereaved family.

He also gave a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the martyred jawan.
