Valuables worth Rs 80K lakh burgled

Valuables worth Rs 80000 lakh were burgled from Mother India Colony under Shahjehanabad police station area on Tuesday. Police said that the victim Lalita Bai found her window grill removed and valuables burgled.

A complaint was lodged with the Mi Shahjehanabad police in which she stated that she had gone to work in the morning and when she returned in the evening door was found open and locks were broken and on entering she found valuables worth Rs 80000 were burgled.

Police suspects that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the house owner and within a short time committed the burglary. Someone acquainted with the victim’s whereabouts has committed the crime or has passed on the details. 

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, Hanumanganj police nabbed five gamblers near Qazi Camp in the night on Tuesday and recovered Rs 15000 from their possession. Acting on a tip off, regarding gambling, five miscreants were nabbed who were caught gambling. The nabbed miscreants were gambling at Qazi Camp area.

Police said that the nabbed gamblers were identified as Guddu Miyan, Ahmed Ali, Umar Abdullah, Amir Khan and Wahid. The police have registered a case under section 13 A of the Gambling Act and started further investigation. Police have recovered playing cards and cash from their possession. The crime record of the accused would be investigated.
