VBU to hold ‘Jhumar 19’ youth festival in campus

The Youth festival of 2019 will be held in the campus of Vinoba Bhave University headquarter under the banner of Art and Culture council of the university.

The university authorities have given the name of youth festival “Jhumar 2019”. For the smooth conduct of the festival the authorities have constituted all committees for different wings.

The Pro Vice Chancellor of the university Dr. Kunil Kandir said that due to the holidays of Durga Puja the authorities have decided the university headquarters as venue for the festival. She said, we will try our best to conduct the festival better to last youth festival.

Kandir said that Dr. Anjana Verma has been appointed as secretary of the youth festival. Dr. Verma said that they have organized a meeting with the teachers of post graduate and university officials.University officials and teachers have suggested that the committee must solve the problems of the last festival. They have assured to the secretary that we will work as a team.

Dr. Kandir said that the entire programme will be held in Vinodani Park. The different teams will report to Art and Culture wing 21 October. The main program will be held on 22 October. We have decided to conduct a meeting of team managers on 21 October evening. She said that the Shobha Yatra will start from the main gate of the university on 22 morning and conclude in Vinodani Park.

The festival will be inaugurated by the chief guest after the Sobha Yatra.“We have inducted the Rangoli, Painting on spot, Clay modelling, quiz, easy, speech and other competitions in the youth festival. We have arranged the hostel of KB Women’s college for gils and Post Graduate buildings for boys for night stay,” he said.
