Volkswagen India, a leading car manufacturer, launched two new cars- Polo and Vento for the Ranchi market in the State capital on Friday. Former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Justice RK Merathia was the chief guest on the occasion. Regional sales manager Manas Rastogi, Directors Rohit Kataruka and Rajeev Kataruka were present at the event. The sportier, dynamic and power packed cars are now available for customers across Jharkhand at an introductory price of Rs 8.76 lakh for the new Vento and Rs 5.82 lakh for the new Polo. The cars will have a new GT Line edition featuring black roof, GT Line side foil and fender badge black CRVM cap and rear spoiler.
With sporty side skirts, new smoked tall lamps, GTI inspired honeycomb front grille and bumpers, the cars come in three variants-Trendlind, Comfortline and Highline. From September 1, the brand has also introduced a five- year warranty or one lakh Kms (whichever happened first) for all diesel cars. For petrol cars the brand is offering four- years warranty or one lakh Kms from the same time.
Speaking on the occasion Rastogi said, "At Volkswagen we believe in power to play. Keeping in mind the ever- changing technology, innovation is a regular feature with us.
The cars have a remote control system for not just for locking or unlocking the car but also for operating the windows. With the ongoing festive season, the brand is also offering benefits of up to Rs 1.50 lakh and exchange offers among other." Equipped with the mandatory safety features under AIS 145 norms which includes speed alarms, rear parking sensor, seat belt warning, the cars also come fitted with four air bags, anti- pinch guards and an electronic stability programme.
Enhancing the aesthetic appeal the cars are available in a vibrant new colour- Sunset Red. Other colour options include Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel, Lapiz Blue and Toffee Brown. On the occasion Ranchi showroom Director Rohit Kataruka said, "In Ranchi we intend to offer a hassle free experience to our existing and prospective customers. The two new cars launched are available at the showroom for customers to feel and take for a test drive." Located in the heart of the City, the showroom is at Karamtoli while the service facility is at Kokar Industrial Area.
The showroom has been operational in the city for the past three- months. The other cars available at the showroom are Volkswagen Tiguan and Volkswagen Ameo.
