With the aim to ensure 100 per cent voter turnout, SDM Bermo launched voter verification, information and voter awareness programme across the Bermo sub-division for upcoming Assembly election here on Saturday.
Bermo SDO Prem Ranjan said that the programme has been launched for voter verification and information for citizens for verification of their names, news registrations, changes in the voter details and corrections in the voter Id Cards. Bermo SDM has also set up contact centres in all blocks across Bermo sub division.The contact centres are equipped with latest information and telecom infrastrure to help the callers.
Ranjan informed that earlier students and teachers in every school were administered voter awareness pledge. He distributed pamphlets carrying the pledge to the students and asked them to get signature of their parents on it. “It is an attempt to encourage their parents to cast their votes without fail.Our aim is to ensure 100 per cent voter turnout by creating awareness among the public,” the SDM said. Bermo block development officer M.G. Kulandaivel, Circle Officer,Manoj Kumar, school principal, Shyama Kumari, Sanjay Kumar, Nilu Kumari, and others block officials participated.
