Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that West Singhbhum is the most affluent district of the State, which has huge natural resources that are not only bringing revenue to the State but also contributing to the coffers of the nation. He said that several schemes are being run in the region through district mining funds, which are paving way for development in the area.

Addressing people at the division level conference of UJJWALA Didis at Chaibasa on Friday, the Minister said that the State Government’s initiative to provide second LPG refill to the women of the State is an admirable step from all angles. Pradhan said that the State Government is providing Gas Stove and LPG Cylinders free of cost under the PM UJJWALA scheme.

He said that the scheme is unique devised by the CM of the State. Under this scheme, all the poor women of the State are being covered so that there is no need to burn wood and cook by cutting wood from the forests in the State and the women of the State do not get sick from the smoke. He said that providing gas and cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme is a sign of freedom from smoke.

Chief Minister Raghuvar Das said on the occasion that there will be no need for LPG gas cylinders in the coming time. The way the water comes from the tap, the LPG pipeline will be laid in every village after supply of LPG through the pipeline in the city. The government is continuously working towards the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's thinking of modern India.

Das said that Chaibasa is the richest district of Jharkhand. “After becoming the Chief Minister I had said that I will change Chaibasa. There are 23 schemes of drinking water with the help of District Mining Funds. Four years ago I had said that none of our poor will drink red water in Chaibasa in Jharkhand. Long plans take time 23 schemes are running out of which 5 plans will be completed by October,” he said.

The CM said that for the first time after independence, the Ministry of Water Power has been created, so that government can provide pure drinking water through pipeline in village to village. “Jubilee Park has been constructed in Chaibasa at a cost of 10 croresOur government is going to open a medical college in Chaibasa. The building of 3 medical colleges in different districts of the state is ready and when Chaibasa also has a medical college within a year and a half, 100 children of Kolhan will get MBBS education here,” he added.

Das said that Ujjwala Didis will work in the village to train the beneficiaries. In this way every sisters of Jharkhand will be able to understand the use of LPG gas cylinder very well. Illiteracy and ignorance will no longer be a hindrance. Ujjwala Didis are being made in every village to bring awareness. Ujjwala didis should work honestly so that the sisters of the village can run LPG stove with LPG connection correctly.
