Wanted criminal arrested, revolver recovered

Hanumanganj police nabbed a wanted accused having a reward of `5,000 and recovered a loaded country-made pistol from his possession late in the night on Tuesday from Qazi Camp area.

According to the police acting on a tip off a miscreant was nabbed near Dana Pani restaurant and when he was searched a country made pistol and cartridges were recovered from his possession.

The miscreant was identified as Nawab Khan of Qazi Camp. After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. The accused was absconding for long and three permanent warrants in his name were pending.

Meanwhile, Hanumanganj police have nabbed two miscreants involved in stealing LTV cable worth Rs 2 lakh and recovered cable from Indore which they have delivered to sell; accused stole the cable on March 16 from Railway Colony and Puttha Mill area.

According to the police, acting on a tip off regarding two employees who used to work for the company were quizzed as they recorded different statements when quizzed by the police.  

The victim Mohammd Majid Khan lodged complaint of stolen cable from two areas and based on the complaint case was registered.

During the investigation police found that the accused are aware of the locations of the cable and later the accused provided the spot in Indore where they have kept the cable. The nabbed miscreants were identified as Shahrukh and Sarwar of Sehore. Further investigation has been started.
