Water police save 70-year-old from drowning

A 70-year-old man was saved by the water police from drowning in the Ganga at Rishikesh on Thursday. The man’s condition is stable, but he was unable to identify himself.

According to the information provided by the local police, an old man was washing his face near Triveni Ghat when his foot slipped and he started drowning in Ganga river. Constable Harish Gusain from

Rishikesh water police rescued the old man with the help of local people.

He was taken to the Government hospital in Rishikesh where he is undergoing treatment. Police are searching for his family members.
