A delegation of the World Bank arrived here on Sunday for ascertaining the damages caused by the Fani in the district.
While one team of the delegation assessed the damages in the affected areas of the district, another ascertained the damages in the town Puri.
Later, the delegation will meet Chief Secretary Aditya Padhi and hold talks regarding the scale of damages caused due to the cyclone.
Noteworthy, the cyclone hit the coast near Puri town on May 3, ravaging entire coastal Odisha. The State Government has assessed the extent of damages to be tentatively worth around Rs 12,000 crore in a preliminary report submitted to a visiting Central inter-Ministerial team.
