Weather conditions continue to be harsh in State capital

Harshness in the weather conditions continued as thundery activities, speedy winds, light rainfall and hot waves were witnessed in the past 24 hours.

State capital which witnessed little relief in the day temperatures has recorded night temperature at 30.4 degree Celsius which increased by 3.8 degree Celsius in the past 24 hours.

According to the forecast state capital would witnessed day temperature at 43 degree Celsius and night temperature would be recorded around 28 degree Celsius.

Few regions witnessed thundery activities and rainfall in the past 24 hours. Gwalior and Sagar divisions witnessed light rainfall while Satna witness 3 mm of rainfall and thunderstorm which was abrupt change in the period of pre-monsoon activities. The temperatures with little dip are at moderate levels and provided relief from extreme hot and humid conditions.

Met department issued warning of thundery activities, speedy winds and hot wave conditions in the next 24 hours. The regions which are likely to witness thundery activities, speedy winds conditions are Rewa division, Bhind, Morena, Gwalior, Datia, Panna and Chhatarpur while Chattarpur, Damoh, Rewa, Umaria and Khargone would witness hot wave conditions. 

Chhatarpur, Rewa, Damoh and Khargone divisions witnessed hot waves conditions in the past 24 hours. Highest day temperature was recorded at 45 degree Celsius in Damoh.

Among the major cities Indore recorded day temperature at 40 degree Celsius and night temperature at 27.4 degree Celsius, Jabalpur recorded day temperature at 43.4 degree Celsius and night temperature at 31.2 degree Celsius and Gwalior recorded day temperature at 41.9 degree Celsius and night temperature at 24.8 degree Celsius.
