Webcasting will be done at 425 polling centres of Raipur district which includes 175 sensitive polling centres.
The total sensitive polling centres in district are 344. To monitor the polling in Raipur district, as many as 291 micro-observers have been appointed, who are central government officers and employees. They will provide report based on 39 points.
According to Raipur District Electoral Officer and Returning Officer Dr Basavaraju S, in all the sensitive polling centres, the deployment of paramilitary forces, district police, home guards and special police officers which include kotwar and forest guards, will be made.
Raipur DEO states that Raipur Lok Sabha constituency has 9 assembly constituencies with 21,11,104 lakh electors.
They are Baloda Bazar, Bhatapara, Dharsiwa, Raipur Rural, Raipur City West, Raipur City North, Raipur City South, Arang and Abhanpur.
The men electors are 10,71,921, women electors are 10,38,889, transgender electors is 297, differently able are 11,936 and service voters are 634.
A total of 2583 postal ballot have been issued. All the officials and employees deputed in election duty have been issued 7030 ‘Election Duty Certificate’ (EDC).
Raipur has 2329 polling centre and 14 auxiliary polling centres. The number of all women polling centres is 44, model polling centre is 46 and differently able polling centres are 10.
