The winter session of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha would commence from Wednesday. During the session, the government would present supplementary budget and table many important bills in the house.
On Tuesday, an all party meeting and the meeting of business advisory committee were organised to discuss the business of the house during the session.
Addressing the all party meeting, the parliamentary affairs minister Madan Kaushik said that the positive discussions would be held with opposition to ensure that the issues of the public interest are discussed in the assembly.
The leader of the opposition, Indira Hridayesh assured that the opposition would provide support on the issues pertaining to interests of the State. The speaker Prem Chand Agarwal expressed confidence that like it happened in the past, the session this time would also be held in a graceful manner.
The meeting of the business advisory committee of the house was chaired by the Speaker Prem Chand Agarwal. In the meeting the business to be discharged during December 4 to December 10 was discussed. During the session supplementary budget, discussion on supplementary budget, grant bill would be presented and passed by the house.
The Government would also present Uttarakhand Ministers (salary, allowances and miscellaneous provisions) amendment bill 2019, Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh Zamidari Abolition and land management act 1950) amendment act, Uttarakhand / Uttar Pradesh reservation for physically impaired dependents of freedom fighters and ex servicemen amendment bill and Uttarakhand Tourism development council amendment bill 2019. Later talking to the media persons, the speaker said that the positive discussions would be held on all the bills tabled in the house and if the need arises, the duration of the house can be extended beyond December 10.
In the meeting, the deputy speaker Ragunath Singh Chauhan, parliamentary affairs minister Madan Kaushik, leader of opposition Indira Hridayesh, Govind Singh Kunjwal took part.
