Woman dies of dengue at SCB

Dengue has claimed life of a woman who was undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College Hospital here.

The deceased, identified as Rama Barik (50) of Sakhigopal in Puri district, had been admitted to the Dengue ICU of the hospital on October 8. She died on Tuesday, hospital sources said.

She had been diagnosed with dengue fever, thrombocytopenia and hepatopathy, the sources added.

Another woman, Debaki Behera of the Aul area in Kendrapada district, had died of dengue at the hospital in August this year.
