A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her neighbour after an alteration broke out between the two over some petty issue. The incident occurred on Thursday in Delhi’s Rangpuri Pahadi area.
The victim woman had objected after the accused had poured water outside her home. The deceased woman identified as Rekha, sustained multiple stab injuries.
The accused who is also deceased’s neighbour was identified as, Gopal Singh who was arrested near Mahipalpur area soon after he killed the woman.
Confirming the incident DCP (southwest) Devender Arya said, on Thursday at around 7.50 pm a call
was received in Vasnt Kunj south police station regarding quarrel.
“After reaching on the spot it was revealed that a
lady namely Rekha wife of Sunil Singh was stabbed by Gopal Singh who is residing in same plot. The woman
was shifted to AIIMS trauma center by CATS ambulance where she was declared brought dead by doctors,” said the DCP.
“The accused Gopal was apprehended and weapon of offence also recovered from his possession.
The accused had some altercation with the deceased over petty issue,” the DCP added.
