To provide further empowerment to women and enhance their role in the State’s development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced that women would be involved in paddy procurement henceforth.
He stated this at the Mission Shakti Samabesh held at Bhabanipatna in Kalahandi district. Besides, the Chief Minister announced that a Science stream along with laboratory and other infrastructure would be opened at the Bhawanipatna Government women’s college at a cost of Rs 5 crore.
