A youth was convicted and awarded ten years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) by the district court Bokaro for sexual assaults of a girl at Bokaro. Judge Ranjeet Kumar of Bokaro district court convicted Ajay Karmakar, a resident of Sector 4 at Bokaro Steel City and awarded him 10 years’ RI and also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000, informed SK Jha Advocate district court Bokaro.
Lured to provide her a luxurious life, the offender abducted the girl (a student of class 11) on 17 October 2016 and took her to Muzaffarpur (Bihar), where he raped the girl repeatedly.
Later, they returned to Bokaro and the girl told her family and they filed an FIR at the local police station.
On 15 May, the court convicted Ali and on Tuesday awarded 10 years’ RI and Rs 30 thousand fines for the abduction and sexual assaults, he said.
