Shooting a TikTok video proved costly for a 19-year-old youth in Sector 6 here when he fell off the terrace of his two-storied house and suffered critical injuries on Tuesday.
The youth was identified as Anil Gochayat.
Sources said that when Anil was dancing on the terrace of the house in Block 8 of the Rourkela Steel Plant quarters, his friend was shooting a video of his for TikTok.
However, Anil lost balance and skidded off the terrace and fell on the ground.
He suffered grievous injuries in his forehead and was rushed to the Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) by his friends and neighbours.
Later, the youth was shifted to the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here after his condition worsened.
