Youth gets Rs 1 lakh from Chief Minister to pursue engineering course

A talented youth from Kabirdham district, who had cracked JEE but did not have money to fund his education, received assistance from Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, officials informed here on Thursday.

According to official information, Ajay Kumar Dhurve, a native of Bankhaira village under Sahaspur Lohara block of Kabirdham district, had cleared JEE and was selected for Computer Science and Design course. However, the youth didn’t have the money to pay fee.

His parents through the district collector Kabirdham had approached Chief Minister’s  secretariat seeking financial aid from the Chief Minister’s  discretionary fund.

“Within four days of receiving the application aid of Rs 1 lakh was released,” officials stated.

Notably, the Chief Minister had sanctioned assistance of Rs 25,000 for Paralympic gold medal winner Devsingh and Chhoti Mehra of Kabirdham     district for procuring sports goods.
