Unidentified youths opened fire at JMM member in Mango police station area this afternoon. The youths fired three bullets at Mujahid Khan (47), an active member of the JMM at about 2.30 pm. Sources said the youths were roaming in front of the JMM office on road number 2 (near Gandhi Maidan) in Mango. They fired at Khan when he asked them leave the place.
Mango police station office in-charge Arun Mahta said the youths had gathered in front of the JMM office. “ When the youths got gathered Khan objected to this .The youths fired at Khan while leaving the place. They left the place in a hurry and opened fire after people started gathering there.We are investigating the matter and trying to ascertain the identity of the criminals,” Mahta, who reached the spot, added.
